01 — Color
What each colour is for is a property of the design system, so it is the same wherever these colours are used. The values are this organization's.
Accent
Links, icons, focus rings and the eyebrow labels.
Text and buttons
Body text, headings and primary buttons.
Tint
Secondary buttons, muted surfaces and badges.
Page background
The page behind every card.
The dark values are derived from each colour's own hue rather than mixed toward white, which is why they stay recognisably ours on a dark background.

02 — Typography
Chosen the same way the colours are, and printed here for the same reason: somebody rebuilding this brand in Canva or a print shop needs the family name, not a picture of it. This organization is set in Rounded.
Quicksand with a hand-drawn script accent. Soft, informal, community-facing.

03 — Spacing & radius
Both scales belong to the design system. Spacing is a 4px grid; every corner radius is derived from a single value, so they stay in proportion when it moves.

04 — Logo
Reproduce it from the file, at whatever size the layout needs, and leave it alone otherwise.

Raster only for now. If you need vector artwork for print, ask and we will send it.
05 — Voice
The part of a brand no colour can carry.
06 — Imagery
The pictures currently published on our site. Using one of these is always safe; anything else should be checked with us first, because a photo of our community carries consent we have to be able to vouch for.
07 — In use
Not screenshots. These are the same components the rest of the site is built from, rendered here in your colours, so they cannot fall out of date.
08 — Templates
Two shapes that hold up at post and story sizes, built from the same tokens. Rebuild them in whatever tool you use; the measurements are above.

Story — tint background, no photo, type doing the work.
09 — Questions
If you are producing something that carries our name and this page does not answer your question, ask rather than guess.
Tagging us is the fastest way to have something checked before it goes out.
Chatter
A word or a short phrase, never a sentence and never body text.
The type scale is not yours to set: sizes, weights and line heights belong to the design system, the same as the measurements in the next section. The typeface is the part you choose.

Our name in writing
Chatter Snow on first mention, in full, two words, both capitalized. After that Chatter on its own is right — it's what people actually call it. Never ChatterSnow, Chattersnow, Chatter-Snow, or CS. The all-lowercase form belongs only where a system forces it: the domain chattersnow.org and the handle @chattersnow.
Chatter takes a singular verb — Chatter is, Chatter hosts, Chatter's community — and needs no "the" in front of it.
When a first mention needs a descriptor, use the one from the tagline: Chatter Snow, a queer ski and snowboard community on the East Coast. Riders, friends, and the people who show up — not members, clients, or beneficiaries.
Chatter Snow is not yet incorporated and does not yet hold 501(c)(3) status. Until those filings are complete, nothing carrying the name — press, grant copy, sponsor decks, flyers, receipts — should say "Inc.", "501(c)(3)", "charity", or "tax-deductible". "Community organization" is accurate today. When incorporation goes through, the legal name becomes Chatter Snow, Inc., used on documents and in the first mention of formal copy; Chatter Snow stays the name everywhere else.
